Chef Erick Harcey will be cooking 10 courses (or more) with Chef Shigeyuki Furukawa from Japan. Chef Furukawa is known for Kaiseki, an elite Japanese dining tradition. It’s a meal that evolved from Buddhist temple meals and typically consists of a procession of many small courses, each prepared with great care, and designed so that each dish flows from one to the next - creating a whole that in totality evokes the mood and spirit of a season, a time, and a place. 

Chef Furukawa is opening a Kaiseki restaurant in the old Origami building located in the North Loop, Minneapolis. It is Chef Furukawa's goal to have one of the top 10 Kaiseki restaurants in the Unites States.
